Alpha 2c Released!

Hello everyone!

We’ve just released Alpha 2c. This version added the game’s tutorial, more art assets and fixed some major bugs found during the playtesting of Alpha 2b.

This update is now available in the main branch of Steam (will be available in Humble tomorrow morning – sorry, not so good internet connection here). For instructions on how to play the latest build please go here.

Compatibility note: Saves from Alpha 2b may work with Alpha 2c, but it is strongly advised that you delete all your current custom races and start new games with Alpha 2c, to benefit from the game’s fixes and new features fully.

Thanks a lot!

We added the final civilian 3D buildings (you can see the Kaek city below – there’s a different type for each race), and added completely new leader portraits for all leaders with many leader animations (you can see the “new” Sierra Thol’os below, for example). We also added the colonization cutscene and many new diplomacy texts for the different races, among several balance changes, UI tweaks and bug fixes.

This update is now available in the main branch of both Steam and Humble. For instructions on how to play the latest build please go here...

ISG Quick Update #4 – Improvements, Ship Modules and AI

Interstellar_space_genesis_alpha
Hello space emperors of interstellar space! We haven’t made one of these quick updates in a while so let’s take a look at what we’ve done and are doing since January of this year in our road to Beta!

We released the Alpha 1b build to our backers on December 27th 2018. The feedback was great and we got a big number of suggestions for improvement. January was all about working on all of those suggestions and many others we’ve received in the past. Many issues were resolved and due to that feedback we think the game is now much more balanced and fun!

February, March and the first two weeks of April were all about adding more ship modules to the game and to finish the AI...

Interstellar Space: Genesis Alpha 1b is released! This update fixed several important bugs and added a considerable amount of balance changes which resulted in a much better experience than Alpha 1a, especially on the late game.

If you are on Steam, your game will update automatically. If you opted for testing out Alpha 1b when it was in the “unstable branch for testing”, you just need to go to your Steam “Beta tab” and select “NONE – Opt out of all Beta programs”.

Alpha 1b available on ‘unstable’ branch

Hello everyone,

Alpha 1b is currently on Steam’s “unstable” branch for testing. It’s also available on Humble’s “unstable” branch. This update fixes some important bugs and has a considerable amount of balance changes, for a better experience, especially on late game.

I invite everyone to opt for the unstable branch and test it out, if you don’t mind to find a few bugs and imbalances in the way. There shouldn’t be many bugs and the experience should be better, but still you’re warned.

You can find the instructions on how to play this new “unstable” build here. On Steam you need to go to the Betas tab and set the unstable branch. To unlock the unstable branch just insert the password interstellarsg in the field: “Enter beta access code to unlock private betas”...
