ISG hit Gold and the finished build is on Steam and Humble!

    Hello everyone,

    today we have announced the release date for the full release of Interstellar Space: Genesis. ISG will release on Steam, and DRM-free through Humble and Itch.io on July 25th!

    These were the changes made since the last release.

    Compatibility note: Saves from the Beta release are not fully compatible with the gold release. So, you will have to start new games to benefit from all the changes and fixes fully. Custom races are also not compatible, please delete all your current custom races before playing new games with this new version.

    Gold (Release Note)


    NEW
    • "Intro", "Victory" and "Defeat" cutscenes added.
    • 18 new event pics added!
    • A couple new loading screen backdrops added (and the previous ones were embellished)!
    • New ship explosion sound effects in combat!
    • New ship explosion graphical effects in combat!
    • Leader Squadron Commander skill added to the game (now fully functional).
    • New notification when leader is killed in battle.

    GAMEPLAY
    • Orbital stations now take into consideration the available space more sensibly when installing top-tier weapons, so that enough space is left for PD weapons and missiles.
    • Orbital stations load out can now be seen in the system view when hovering in the orbital station icon.
    • Collective Transcendence unique ability now triggers a research discovery pop-up as is normal for other cases.
    • Fighters now only equip weapon modifications when the right level of miniaturization level is available for said weapon.
    • Wurtzite Cannon max damage increased, now 35 (was 25).
    • Wurtzite Cannon cost (BC) requirements increased.
    • Phasors base cost increased from 80 to 100.
    • Fighters can't equip phasors armor piercing due to space limitations (this is documented in the Phasors weapon description).

    AI
    • AI now uses hull reinforcement more often in their designs, especially in the higher difficulty levels.
    • AI now focuses a bit more on ongoing constructions before starting new ones.
    • AI now asks for peace a bit less often (was too much before).

    UI / GRAPHICS
    • Interstellar Geology space culture bonus now explicitly stated in the strategic resource tooltips at the top.
    • Trade and Research Treaties tooltips expanded to explain the concepts a bit better (can be seen when proposing a treaty via diplomacy, in the empire overview under the "Trade Treaty" and "Research Treaty" entries and other places.
    • Revised and replaced many places where the word "Sir, " was being used. Replaced by "Your Highness" and "Emperor".
    • The command center buildings of conquered colonies are now of the race that lives there and not of the conquerer.
    • Infrastructure specialization "Unlocking all perks" text now reads "Unlocking all Planetary Engineering perks" or other category.
    • Order in which the Ship Defense and Ship Attack information is displayed in the ship design screen was reversed.
    • Not having enough scanner tech tooltip message made more clear. Now reads: "Rival fleet composition unknown. We need better scanner technology."
    • Neutron Rejuvenation technology renamed to Neutronic Rejuvenation.
    • "Civil Engineers" infrastructure perks renamed to "Civil Developers". "Civil Support" to "Civil Planners". "Ship Engineers" now "Ship Craftsmen". Also, "Civil Support" is "Civil Planners" now.

    AUDIO
    • N/A

    BUGS
    • Fixed an issue on the Collective Transcendence unique ability that was showing incomplete information in the tech field bonus tooltip.
    • Fixed an issue that was causing notifications on space objects being found to be triggered when using the Obsessed Builders unique ability.
    • Fixed a glitch that was allowing the Empire info screen to render on top of the Loading Window.
    • Fixed an issue where the asteroid production bonus from robotic factory was not consistent between what robotic factory says and the asteroid exploitation's tooltips.
    • Fixed an issue that was allowing a "hidden window" to be rendered beneath the fighters window panel.
    • Fixed a couple of sound issues in the Ship Design screen.
    • Fixed a bug that was causing orbital stations' load out to not update when we research a new type of orbital station.
    • Fixed an issue where "From Race Modifier" was all caps in ship attack tooltip.
    • Too many space monsters were being allowed to spawn near the AIs, especially in the higher difficulty levels due to AIs benefit from more ideal and ultra-rich words nearby would attract way too many monsters and defeat the purpose of the AIs starting more advanced in the higher difficulties.
    • Fixed a bug where the Chaos Chain weapon was not working properly when we had more than two chaos chain weapon slots in the ship.
    • Fixed an issue where the system labels in the starmap and the planet and other objects panels in the system view were not scaling correctly in 4K resolutions.
    • Fixed an issue where the fleets and systems Overlap Panel was not scaling correctly in 4K resolutions.
    • "Create" button in the new game screen now centered in 4K resolution.
    • Fixed an issue that was causing all sliders in the Game Settings to not work in 4K resolutions.
    • Other minor size adjustments and corrections made to several labels and text in 4K resolution.
    • Fixed a bug in space combat where in the end of the combat, when the last ship was leaving, there was an error when the AI was making a check if the fleeing ship was in fire range.
    • Fixed an issue that was allowing the first Destroyer design of the game (the one that is pre-built) to only have 1 laser weapon as total load out).
    • Fixed an issue in the system view with 4K, ultra-wide and smaller resolutions. The text boxes were being rendered too big, too small and not in the correct location. That is fixed now.

    As a backer you have access to the gold version, which is the current version on Steam and Humble.
